an inspiring life coach… 23 jul ’13

Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013

this session was a bit of a combination family lifestyle shoot and corporate work. Jennifer is a coach specialising in working with children, and planned to use these images on her brochures… here’s my faves – you can see we had a great time!

the beach boys and mum… 10 mar ’13

Sunday, March 10th, 2013

well this session started out wonderfully – found a carpark at the local beach – walked over to meet the family, and we headed down to the sand. then i put my foot into a hole, and twisted it under me, falling gracelessly in a heap! NOT part of the plan!

in quite a lot of pain, i stood up while the family looked on concernedly… then i decided it was probably nothing, and told them not to worry, i was fine. it was a perfect day for a shoot, and i ignored my poor foot for the next 2 hours while capturing these lovely images below, taking advantage of the cool river water to keep the swelling down.

the next day at the clinic, i was informed that not only was my now balloon-foot sprained in several places, but a tendon was torn as well. and i couldn’t walk on it without crutches for 2 weeks. 11 months later – it is still a little stiff and not completely back to normal! but – i got my photos that day 😀

there were two adults holding these boys so he didn’t drop his baby brother on the rocks.
their arms were removed later in photoshop.
