rainy wedding day (prep)… 7 feb ’14

Friday, February 7th, 2014

sprinkling rain did not dampen spirits at this gorgeous and simple wedding last summer. i was co-shooting for Fstop Studios – this was the first time i had worked with Bret Lucas and it was super fun! i thought i would be a little intimidated because he’s a very experienced highly technical photographer, specialising in lighting – kinda the opposite to my style really! but not at all: he’s such a nice guy and even gave me control of some of the formal portraits! Bret kindly gave me permission to publish some of my own favourite shots from the day – so here they are! first: preparation photos 🙂

jane + rafael: faith, hope, and love (party)… 5 jan ’14

and finally – the party! such an amazing venue, Duders of Devonport… hidden away on the first storey above the street shops, this amazing ballroom has to be seen in person for full impact. the decorations complemented the decor and the reception was a huge hit with everyone 🙂

many thanks to Nykie of Mistral Photography for shooting with me on the day (venue setup, groom preparation, ceremony, creative portraits, and reception)
