princess of cheltenham… 12 may ’13

Sunday, May 12th, 2013

it has been such a pleasure following baby Kloé on her journey through year 1 of life – and this is her second-to-last shoot in her My Baby Days photography plan. her mum and dad enjoyed their wedding reception at this beach so it’s special to them, and now it’s special to Kloé too 🙂

she has so many funny faces so i made sure to include some samples here – now, photos!

the beach boys and mum… 10 mar ’13

Sunday, March 10th, 2013

well this session started out wonderfully – found a carpark at the local beach – walked over to meet the family, and we headed down to the sand. then i put my foot into a hole, and twisted it under me, falling gracelessly in a heap! NOT part of the plan!

in quite a lot of pain, i stood up while the family looked on concernedly… then i decided it was probably nothing, and told them not to worry, i was fine. it was a perfect day for a shoot, and i ignored my poor foot for the next 2 hours while capturing these lovely images below, taking advantage of the cool river water to keep the swelling down.

the next day at the clinic, i was informed that not only was my now balloon-foot sprained in several places, but a tendon was torn as well. and i couldn’t walk on it without crutches for 2 weeks. 11 months later – it is still a little stiff and not completely back to normal! but – i got my photos that day 😀

there were two adults holding these boys so he didn’t drop his baby brother on the rocks.
their arms were removed later in photoshop.
